Deloitte Summit

About This Project

Deloitte Summit at 410 W Georgia St in Vancouver, is a unique 24-storey commercial tower with a structural steel frame, a concrete core, and a six level underground parking garage with 235 stalls. 

Underhill first became involved in 2018 when we were hired by Westbank to facilitate a monitoring campaign for the site excavation. Underhill monitored the building every fortnight for 15 months until construction had reached street level. Once excavation was complete we were retained by both Westbank and EllisDon to provide numerous surveying services throughout construction.

These include:

• Providing a volumetric statutory right of way plan
• Confirming primary control
• Providing vertical control for the structure through a series of benchmarks set on the core
• Providing horizontal control by utilizing a zenith laser plummet to transfer horizontal positions through block-outs in the slabs
• Measure and report on the vertical deflection of cantilevered slabs before and after the placement of loads
• General layout
• Vertical control for elevator door jambs
• 3D laser scanning and modeling of the penthouse elevator shaft and certain structural areas
• Quality assurance
