Heavy Industrial Rail

From preliminary railway topography, to track layout and construction, to final as-built alignment reports, we are a full project lifecycle railway surveying company.  We work with rail service companies, engineering consultants and all of the major railways in Western Canada to provide complete, accurate and reliable survey information.  Our services may assist with railway design, modifications, settlement monitoring, and emergency call-outs.  All of our railway surveyors are eRailSafe certified. and understand the specific safety standards required when working on railway.

Rapid Transit and Skytrain

Surveys on rapid transit or skytrain require the highest accuracy and precision. We use best in class survey instruments often in high pressure conditions to deliver reliable survey data.  Our Metro Vancouver staff have the experience and qualifications to work for Translink and BCRTC.

We use the latest technologies and software:

  • UAVs and USVs
  • 360-degree cameras
  • Mobile and aerial lidar
  • Leica, Trimble, and Faro scanners & processing software
  • Revit, Microstation, Pix4D, Agisoft, Cyclone, TopoDot, Nubigon, Civil 3D

Railways connect communities.

Railroad surveys are in important part of development and ongoing maintenance of all railways. Surveyors work with rail design engineers in the mapping of new rail routes as well as to monitor existing tracks for changes over time.

Surveyors often use UAVs to capture track data in remote and difficult to access areas.
