Photographic documentation provides a visual record of site conditions.

Visual documentation of a construction project has tremendous value throughout the build and for many years afterwards. Capturing a project site in its entirety and spatially indexing those images to floor plans at defined construction phases (such as at rough-in and finishing), enables project managers and site supervisors to track progress and sign-off with trades. These images also provide evidence to alleviate retention of funds and the end of the build. Increasingly, these images are being used to increase the efficiency of inspection tasks.

Immediately following construction, these images provide the building owner or facility manager with the information that they need to start operating their asset effectively. Once operation and maintenance cycles commence, these visual documentation databases provide information on the elements and assemblies that have been installed behind the drywall, and are invaluable in minimizing risk and travel costs when planning any upcoming maintenance or retrofit work.
