The Great Depression

The Great Depression

The collapse of world markets and the solid price of gold during the Great Depression positively impacted mining investment in BC and the Yukon. During the 30s, Underhill surveyed extensively in the Bridge River area on various mineral claims and related mining projects (Bralorne, Pioneer, Little Gunn, etc.). Another major mine project surveyed at this time was the Hedley Mascot Mine. Surveys were also completed at Zeballos on Vancouver Island.
